Warrior Judo and Jiu Jitsu is a self-defense and grappling dojo located at 527 TN 186 in Humboldt, Tennessee 38343, and its site features the We Defy Foundation, which helps combat veterans coping with military-connected disabilities through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fitness training. The Warrior Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is taught by Jon Blancett, a former Military Policeman and Southside High School teacher in Jackson who holds a third degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Luiz Palhares, a Black Belt in Kenpo, and a Judo Brown belt with more than 25 years of martial arts experience. Co-instructor Chuck Kurz is a retired US Army Special Forces veteran (2015), USA Judo National level coach, Judo Nidan (2nd degree Black Belt), and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt with over 27 years of practice. Primary kids instructor Ainsley Kurz holds a Judo Shodan (first degree Black Belt) and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt with over 15 years of training. Classes in Humboldt meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Kids from 5:30 to 6:30 and Adults from 6:30 to 8:30, covering Gracie self-defense Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo.
